Job Description
We are looking forward to employ a qualified and experienced individual for the position of School Librarian.
Responsibilities:
Manage and organize the school library and its resources.
Assist students and staff in locating and using library materials.
Promote reading and literacy development among students.
Maintain accurate records of books and other learning materials.
Ensure proper cataloguing and classification of library resources.
Support teaching and learning through relevant library services.
Supervise students’ use of the library and maintain discipline.
Requirements:
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature or a related field.
A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience.
At least 3 years’ experience with GES and Oxford Curriculum
Must be computer literate (knowledge of library systems is an advantage)
Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about reading and learning.
